Custom Paintings
Commissions are a perfect way to bring to life your vision with my creative style. Love my style but want something made specifically for you, your home, and your emotions, a commission is the perfect way to go. The great thing about a commission is you can be as involved in the process or give me as much creative freedom as you like.
The process:
It all starts off with a discussion, where is it going in your home, how big do you want it, which of my works do you like, what colors do you like, what emotions are you going for, when do you need it by? From there I will provide a quote and timeline and upon approval I will start creating an artwork just for you!
The creative process will start off with some sketches and color tests and from there I will go to the canvas. I work by layers so on every layer I will snap a photo and send it to you so you can offer feedback and redirect if needed.
The Logistics:
Size: What size do you want, where is it going? My minimum painting size is 12x12” but I recommend 16x20” paintings as the smallest to get the most impact.
Budget: What is your budget for the painting? My 16x20” paintings start at $900. We can do payment plans.
Timeline: When do you need the painting by? Is it for a specific event? I recommend reaching out at least 3 months before you need the piece, if not more. A painting can take me anywhere from a month to 6 months depending on the complexity, my schedule and the size of the piece.
The inspiration:
Send me your favorite paintings of mine, your ideal colors, a story you want me to be inspired by, photos etc. As well as any specific music you want me to listen to to guide the piece.
If you are commissioning a figure painting we will review reference photos and sketches as well
The payment:
Payment schedule will be dependent on timeline but typically do a 30% deposit and then the remainder divided monthly by length of project. All payments must be received before shipment of artwork
The Delivery:
We will discuss how you want the painting to arrive. If you are local to NYC I am happy to drop it off. If you are not local we will discuss a shipping plan to ensure your painting gets to you safely and on time.
Comissions inquiry
We start off with a conversation about size, colors, and inspiration, whether that be other paintings I’ve created or you sharing a story or experience you would like me to capture in a piece.
Every layer I will send a photo of the development so you can provide feedback on the direction it is heading and request any changes throughout the process.
We will discuss color palettes and size, you can provide a reference photo or I will select a few for review.
We start off with composition sketches and color studies that you will approve before I bring it to a larger canvas.
