Underneath the Surface is about the things we don’t see. The pain, the struggles, the hardships that those around us are going through that we may never know. It is a reminder that everyone has their own hardships, their own internal battles. It is a reminder to treat everyone around you with kindness, compassion, and love, because you may never really know what they are going through.
I created this painting when I was experiencing a flare up of my chronic pain, it’s not something I often talk about but something that influenced a lot of my life. I am really lucky to now only have flare ups and not have it overshadow my daily life.
