It has become a tradition that every year for my birthday I make a painting. I reflect on the year I have had and also meditate on what I want the next year of my life to look and feel like. This year, I want into the painting thinking it would be a warmup before I dove into the real thing, but then this painting quickly formed.
21 was a really big year for me, I graduated college, took my businesses full time, had my first solo show. It was a really big year. I feel more sure of myself and where I want to be every day and I am so deeply grateful for where I am at in life.
As I reflect on 22 I hope that this year brings me more opportunities, more painting, more connection. And more healing. There are things I have not prioritized in my life that I would like to make a priority and more of an effort on this year, and I am excited to see that come to fruition.
